Stop Go Networks is a multinational internet marketing company.

We are looking to recruit an excellent PHP developer who lives within commuting distance of Glasgow with frontend and backend Development experiences developing web applications.

This is a new role created by growth due to recent new business wins. You will be working as a part of our dynamic team.

The successful person will collaborate with a variety of different departments to make sure they understand the needs of the customer and to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.

Essential skills & experience:

• Demonstrable knowledge and application of PHP..
• Software engineering background with experience in OO programming.
• Experience with version control systems such as GIT and Subversion
• Front-end technologies – HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Ajax
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and the ability to maintain a high standard of quality whilst working to strict deadlines.
• Experience with PHP frameworks such as CodeIgniter, Symfony, Zend Framework, Laravel or others.
• Experience with RDBMS such as MySQL, MariaDB or PostgreSQL.
• An eagerness to learn new/emerging technologies.

It would be great if you also had knowledge of:

• Test-driven development using PHPUnit or a similar unit-testing framework.
• Experience of working on high-traffic, large-scale web applications.
• Agile development processes.
• Proficiency in using and troubleshooting Linux.
• Experience of working with caching systems such as Redis or Memcached.

Salary: up to £45,000
