Red Paint are looking for a skilled web developer to join our friendly team based near Charing Cross, Glasgow. We are looking for a Full Stack Developer who has experience developing WordPress themes and plugins.

The candidate will be responsible for taking graphic design visuals and transforming them into responsive, accessible and intuitive WordPress sites.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years web development experience using PHP and MySQL/MariaDB
• Great understanding of HTML5, CSS, Javascript, SCSS/LESS and integration with CMS platforms
• Proficient in developing themes and plugins in WordPress
• Proficient in responsive/adaptive development using Bootstrap or other frameworks
• Familiar with DOM manipulation libraries like jQuery
• Experience with cross-browser compatibility testing
• Experience with optimising website speed and performance
• Good understanding of version control (GIT)

Preferred:

• Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator
• Experience optimizing web page for search engines (SEO)

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate their creative skills and coding talents through a high quality portfolio.
